Route structure for 1951 remained the same as the previous year although traffic increased substantially due to the addition of Douglas DC-3 aircraft purchased from TWA. Revenue passenger miles and number of passengers enplaned increased 97% to approximately 15,300,000 miles and 96,265 passengers. Mail and express freight also were up 49% and 123% respectively. All six Lockheed 10A Electra airliners were pulled out of service and sold in the spring of 1951 for approximately $ 35,000 each.
